About the Role

SafeSmart is seeking an experienced Operations & Supply Chain Manager to lead and scale our US operations.

This is a senior, hands-on leadership position with responsibility across manufacturing, procurement, supply chain, outsourced production, inventory, warehousing, quality, and logistics.

We are looking for an operator who can bring greater structure, planning, accountability, and commercial discipline to a growing business while helping build a scalable operating model for our next stage of growth.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead US manufacturing, procurement, inventory, warehousing, logistics, and operational performance

  • Develop and execute a scalable US operations and supply chain strategy

  • Improve manufacturing productivity, capacity, quality, cost, and on-time delivery

  • Build stronger production planning, scheduling, demand forecasting, and inventory controls

  • Develop and manage domestic and international suppliers and outsourced manufacturing partners

  • Identify sourcing opportunities, negotiate supplier agreements, and reduce total landed cost

  • Determine the right balance between internal manufacturing and outsourced production

  • Improve inventory availability while reducing excess and obsolete stock

  • Establish meaningful operational KPIs and regular performance reviews

  • Lead, coach, and develop manufacturing, procurement, warehouse, and operations teams

  • Partner closely with sales, engineering, finance, and global operations leadership

The role is specifically expected to move the business toward stronger sourcing, outsourcing, inventory planning, operational measurement, and scalable manufacturing capacity.

Qualifications
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in operations, manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, or industrial leadership

  • 7+ years in a senior leadership position with broad operational responsibility

  • Strong experience in manufacturing, fabrication, engineered products, industrial equipment, construction products, or a related environment

  • Proven experience scaling operations through significant business growth

  • Experience developing and managing outsourced manufacturing partners

  • Strong domestic and international sourcing experience

  • Demonstrated success improving supplier costs, manufacturing efficiency, and operational performance

  • Strong understanding of inventory planning, forecasting, warehousing, freight, and distribution

  • Experience with lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, KPIs, ERP systems, and multi-site operations

  • Strong commercial and financial understanding, including margins, working capital, capital expenditure, and make-versus-buy decisions
