Mettler-Toledo Rainin is looking for a Production Planner to join our Planning Team in our Oakland, CA facility. The Production Planner is responsible for all planning in their value chain, including the planning and release of production orders in accordance with material requirements planning recommendations, while adjusting for departmental constraints and material availability. The responsibilities are as follows:Managing and interpreting the MRP workbench and applicable planning information to create and monitor discrete jobs for assigned product families.Actively participate and support the production planning SQDC meetings, providing detailed updates and plan status.Establishing and maintaining positive working relationships within assigned teams and with all departments.Evaluating work centers for capacity optimization. Assessing and scheduling production orders with manufacturing departmental input.Releasing production orders to the appropriate production areas with complete material availability.Reviewing and analyzing production orders that have missing component material.Resolving missing components with Procurement and other internal associates.Maintaining accurate start and completion dates on production orders.Demonstrating an understanding of inventory management and supporting the accurate forecasting of future demand.
