This is a hands-on role that requires the ability to thrive in an extremely fast-paced, high-volume environment, exercise excellent judgment, and move quickly between employee needs, leadership support, and day-to-day HR priorities.The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, trusted problem-solver, and self-starter who brings professionalism, discretion, and a can-do attitude to everything they do.Duties and Responsibilities:Serve as a primary point of contact for employees on HR-related questions and needsPartner with the VP of People Operations and leadership on employee relations and other people mattersManage and oversee the company’s twice-yearly performance management and review processSupport employee engagement, retention, recognition, and culture initiativesMaintain HR policies, employee records, company documents, and internal resourcesTrack and ensure completion of mandatory employee trainingsAssist with benefits, leaves, and other recurring HR processesLead Open Enrollment and work closely with outside brokers regarding enrollments, billing, and other employee benefits issuesManage and maintain company and HR reporting, ensuring accurate and timely data for leadershipManage and lead company-wide events, including the annual end-of-year company party and staff workshop, from planning through executionSupport managers with day-to-day employee and HR needsIdentify opportunities to improve HR processes, communication, and efficiencyProvide project support to the VP of People OperationsTake ownership of special projects and jump in wherever neededSuccessful Candidates Will Possess:5-7+ years of progressive HR experienceStrong understanding of HR practices, employee relations, and employment complianceCalifornia HR experience strongly preferredExcellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skillsHigh emotional intelligence and the ability to build strong relationships with employees and leadershipExceptional organization, attention to detail, and follow-throughAbility to manage competing priorities and make sound decisions in an extremely fast-paced, high-pressure environmentStrong critical-thinking and problem-solving skillsAbility to handle sensitive information with the highest level of confidentiality and discretionA proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and strong sense of ownershipFlexibility to shift priorities quickly and move between different projects and responsibilities with easeProficiency with Microsoft Office and Google WorkspaceExperience with HRIS and other HR technology platforms, Rippling strongly preferredSHRM or PHR certification is a plusRooted in and aligned with the principles and mission of PragerUHow to Apply: First review our website at www.prageru.com. Final offer amounts depend on multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise, and most recent market data. This position is eligible for an annual bonus based on personal and company performance, in addition to our robust benefits package.
