Job Summary

Description

Lead a 24/7 airport operation right now!

About SkyHop Global
SkyHop Global is a ground transportation company trusted by major airlines nationwide. We move pilots and flight attendants safely and reliably between airports, hotels, and training centers. Our LAX station is one of our busiest and most important operations.

Every day, pilots and flight attendants at LAX count on SkyHop Global to get them to their flights on time. As Assistant Station Manager, you’ll run that operation alongside our Station Leader. You’ll lead a team of professional drivers, solve problems in real time, and keep airline schedules moving. If you’ve supervised a shift, a fleet, or a frontline team and you’re ready for the next step, this role is built to get you there.

Why this role

  • Real leadership, fast: You run the station whenever the Station Leader is out. This isn’t a desk role.
  • A clear path up: Assistant Station Manager, then Station Manager, then Regional Manager. We promote from within.
  • Stable, essential work: Major U.S. airlines depend on us every day, all year.
  • Modern tools: A GPS-tracked fleet and our own dispatch platform, so you manage with data instead of guesswork.

Pay and benefits

  • $75,000-$85,000 base salary, plus a monthly performance bonus
  • Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • PTO and paid holidays
  • Referral bonuses

What you’ll do

  • Lead, coach, and schedule a team of 90+ Drivers at LAX plus remote sites at ONT & SNA.
  • Dispatch trips on-site and adjust assignments as the day’s operation changes.
  • Work in real time with our 24/7 headquarters dispatch team to assign trips, handle schedule changes, and recover from delays.
  • Drive airline crews yourself when service needs require it, such as covering open trips, handling surges, or responding to emergencies.
  • Communicate directly with airline crew and station contacts so every crew gets to the right place on time.
  • Keep crew pickups on time by spotting issues early and fixing them before they affect a flight.
  • Own safety and compliance with DOT rules, LAX airport requirements, and company policy.
  • Track performance, find what slows the operation down, and help improve it.
  • Serve as the on-site leader when the Station Leader is away.

Requirements

What you bring

  • 2+ years of leadership, supervisory, or management experience in transportation, logistics, aviation, hospitality, or a similar fast-paced service environment
  • A hands-on leadership style. You lead from the floor, not the office, and your team knows you have their back.
  • Clear verbal and written communication, and sound decisions when things change fast
  • Availability for a 24/7/365 operation, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and urgent operational needs
  • You live within commuting distance of LAX and can be on-site regularly
  • A valid California driver’s license, a clean driving record, and the ability to meet company driver qualification standards
  • Ability to pass a background check

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of DOT regulations, transportation compliance, and safety best practices. We’ll train you if you don’t have it.
  • Dispatch or fleet experience
  • Military leadership experience
