About the Role

Sandstone Estates is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and motivated Rehabilitation Technician to join our team! The ideal candidate is passionate about helping residents improve their mobility, maintain independence, and achieve their rehabilitation goals in a supportive and caring environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Physical Therapists and Occupational Therapists with resident treatment sessions as directed.

• Help prepare therapy areas and ensure equipment is clean, organized, and ready for use.

• Assist residents with safe transfers, ambulation, and therapeutic activities under the direction of licensed therapy staff.

• Transport residents to and from therapy sessions as needed.

• Monitor resident comfort and safety during therapy activities and promptly report concerns to the appropriate clinical staff.

• Maintain accurate documentation and follow facility policies and infection-control procedures.

• Encourage residents and provide positive support throughout their rehabilitation journey.

• Work collaboratively with nursing, therapy, and other facility team members to promote quality resident care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Previous healthcare, rehabilitation, or long-term care experience is a plus.

• Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.

• Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to resident care.

• Ability to follow instructions, maintain confidentiality, and prioritize resident safety.

• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, including assisting with mobility and transfers, with appropriate training and equipment.

• CPR certification or other required credentials, if applicable.
