We’re looking for Production Bakers to join our Tempe-based bakery team at Cartel Roasting Co. No professional baking experience is required. We’re looking for dependable, detail-oriented individuals who enjoy working with their hands, are willing to learn, and want to be part of a small team producing high-quality pastries from scratch. Summary

Our Bakers work closely with the Culinary Manager to produce a rotating menu of minimalist, modern, nostalgic, and seasonal pastries. This includes yeasted and quick breads, laminated doughs, cookies, and vegan and gluten-free items all baked from scratch and available daily at our Phoenix and Tucson locations.

This role is hands-on, detail-oriented, and ideal for someone who takes pride in consistency, quality, and thoughtful execution.

Responsibilities

• Produce baked goods and ready-to-eat food for our retail café locations
• Follow daily and weekly prep guides to meet production goals
• Prepare, bake, and package products for Cartel locations
• Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe workspace
• Collaborate with teammates and support new menu rollouts
• Attend required meetings and trainings
• Work independently while upholding Cartel’s values and standards

Qualifications

• Professional baking or food prep experience a plus
• Experience with laminated doughs is a plus, but not required
• Comfortable using Google Drive tools for recipes and prep guides
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently as part of a team
• Able to safely lift and move 50–100 pounds
• Strong basic math skills for recipe scaling and production
