Accounts Payable Specialist

About the Role

We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. In this role, you'll help keep our financial operations running smoothly by ensuring invoices are processed accurately, vendors are supported professionally, and payments are made on time. What You'll Do

• Process, review, and code vendor invoices while ensuring proper approvals and documentation are in place.
• Reconcile vendor accounts, resolve discrepancies, and respond to vendor inquiries with professionalism and urgency.
• Manage weekly payment processing and ensure vendors are paid accurately and on time.
• Maintain vendor records, accounts payable files, and documentation in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Verify purchase order compliance and partner with internal teams to resolve invoice and purchasing discrepancies.
• Support month-end close activities, job costing analysis, and sales/use tax compliance.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

What You'll Bring

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and accounting software.
• Strong data entry and 10-key skills.
• Knowledge of accounts payable processes, general ledger systems, and basic accounting principles.
• Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
