Job DESCRIPTION

DAVIS is seeking a Junior Architectural Designer with 3-5 years of experience post-graduation to focus on commercial design for a growing, diverse client base. In this position, you will collaborate with a team of creative architects dedicated to finding solutions for our clients. Our team is committed to designing Life in Place environments that help our clients focus on building communities.

Primary RESPONSIBILITIES

• Iterative development of project designs based on conceptual direction, within budget, for all phases of projects
• Interacting with clients, consultants and integrated design team
• Preparation and presentation of design drawings
• Maintain an on-going understanding of current trends in architecture and interior design
• Assisting with the creation of building solutions meeting programmatic, contextual and sustainable design goals

Required QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience demonstrating exceptional design skills complemented by a portfolio of innovative design solutions
• Professional Architecture degree from an accredited program (B. Arch or M. Arch) preferred
• Knowledge and understanding of current construction costs
• Knowledge and understanding of urban design, site design, entitlement procedures and current building codes
• Knowledge of building materials, detailing, construction techniques and related engineering principles
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate design concepts
• Fluent in AutoCAD, Revit, Sketchup and Adobe CS
