Establish and enforce coding standards, design patterns, and architectural best practices within the POPI R&D software team; lead design reviews and technical decision-making. ProdX Platform Development and Innovation (30%)Lead the design and evolution of ProdX core modules, including device data acquisition, real-time stream processing, compliance logging, analytics, and reporting. Drive innovation by evaluating and integrating emerging technologies (e.g., AI/ML, LLM-based diagnostics, edge computing) into the ProdX product roadmap. Collaborate with global R&D and product teams to align platform capabilities with market needs, ensuring scalability and adaptability for food, pharmaceutical, and other regulated industries. Cloud-Edge Architecture and System Integration (20%)Architect seamless integration between the ProdX cloud platform and on-premise inspection devices (X-ray, checkweighers, metal detectors), ensuring efficient and resilient data flow. Oversee the development of APIs, communication protocols (e.g., OPC UA, MQTT, Modbus), and interfaces that enable interoperability between software and hardware components. Ensure robust system performance under varying network conditions, addressing challenges such as offline operation, data loss prevention, and latency optimization. Compliance and Quality Assurance (10%)Lead the design of compliance architecture to meet global regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA 21 CFR Part 11, OIML, ISO), including audit trails, electronic signatures, and data integrity.
