Job Summary

Pastor of Discipleship and Worship

Full-Time Ministry Position
Baker City, Oregon

Position Overview

The Pastor of Discipleship and Worship provides spiritual leadership and direction to help people take meaningful next steps in their journey with Jesus Christ. This role focuses on cultivating a church culture where people are growing in faith, building authentic relationships, discovering opportunities to serve, and becoming disciples who make disciples.

Working collaboratively with the pastoral team, this pastor will develop and lead intentional pathways for spiritual growth through small groups, discipleship classes, one-on-one discipleship, and men’s and women’s ministries. In addition, this role provides leadership for the church’s worship ministry, helping create meaningful, Christ-centered worship experiences that engage the congregation and support the spiritual formation of the church.

The ideal candidate is a spiritually mature leader who loves Jesus, values the local church, builds relationships naturally, and has a passion for equipping others to grow in their faith and lead others toward Christ.

OUR HEART FOR MINISTRY

We believe the church is called not simply to gather people for worship, but to help people become more like Jesus. We desire to see people grow in their relationship with Christ, build meaningful relationships within the church, use their gifts to serve others, and help others discover the transforming love of God.

The Pastor of Discipleship and Worship will play an important role in advancing that vision by helping people encounter God in worship, grow through intentional discipleship, and live out their faith in everyday life.
