Software Back-End Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design infrastructure for new builds
• Create and maintain tests
• Deploy logging and monitoring
• Plan capacity and manage application performance
• Take responsibility for technical delivery against needs and specifications
• Develop shell scripting and components to support continuous delivery pipelines
• Consider applying emerging technology solutions to increase efficiency and effectiveness

Qualifications & Required Experience

• Solid understanding of relational databases, and SQL for implementing database-driven, web-based applications
• Designing and coding on all tiers of mobile and web applications and services
• Docker, Kubernetes
• Using Python, Node, and PHP
• Databases especially PostgreSQL, mySQL
• supporting and building APIs
• Experience with various host environments including AWS, GCP, etc.

Nice to have

• Experience with data analysis, especially big data analysis
• Experience writing technical specifications
• Experience with ElasticSearch
• Experience integrating hardware sensors
