SUMMARY Responsible for performing general maintenance tasks, including preventative maintenance, upkeep and repair on museum equipment and infrastructure systems. Assists the maintenance supervisors troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, Lighting Systems, and ministry vehicles. The maintenance associate will perform other duties as required and will assist in other departments as needed while displaying our Core Values of SERVE to ensure that the message and mission of Answers in Genesis is portrayed in an effective and God honoring fashion. RESPONSIBILITIES•Uphold the Quality Service Standards of Safety, Hospitality, Presentation and Efficiency•Collaborate daily with team to development a SERVE culture.•Assists the Maintenance Supervisor in maintaining and repairing HVAC systems, lighting systems, electrical systems, plumbing, emergency generator, propane systems, LP air system, Waste Water Treatment Plant, and material handling/dock equipment.•Assist with daily maintenance of equipment, troubleshoots and provide preventative maintenance, maintains efficiency, and safety of all equipment•Accomplish tasks relating to the ongoing operations and preventative maintenance schedule for the whole Museum facility.•Perform repairs, replacements, preventative, and corrective maintenance on equipment and facility assets.•Perform standard maintenance on all ministry vehicles.•Identify and assess key areas for possible improvement, involving the facility maintenance, which includes but not limited to painting, tile work, drywall repair and installation.•Routinely inspects and maintains the building and structures on the grounds•Maintains a secure, clean and organized work area•Participates in all relevant training and staff meetings.•Assist in housekeeping efforts if needed.•Performs other projects and duties as assigned by management. REQUIREMENTS•Physical exertion requiring standing and walking all day, repeated bending and lifting, ability to lift up to 40 + lbs.•Knowledge of cleaning chemicals supplies and MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).•Excellent attention to detail.•Good communication and time management skills.•Must be dependable and adapt to changing work priorities and flexible work hours.•Must have basic computer skills• Candidate must have reliable transportation and a current driver’s license with a good drivingrecord• Must be able to work routine perform tasks using ladders and Man Lifts; heights can be up to30 feet off the ground.• Must agree with and be able to sign our Statement of Faith.• Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.• Regular attendance at a local Bible-believing church.
