We are hiring for the 2026-2027 School Year!

· General Classroom Teachers Grades K-3 and a PE teacher for Whitmore Classical Academy: A new Classical Education Public Charter School in Florence, Oregon opening Fall 2026.

· We are looking for a combination of experienced and new certified teachers as well as those who are qualified, have significant classroom experience and would be willing to register with the Public Charter School Registry.

· Must love teaching, elementary students, and interacting with families and be willing to enthusiastically train and immerse in Classical Education.

· Our curriculum that will be up for public review includes Singapore Math, Literacy Essentials and Core Knowledge and other core subject curriculum. All state standards will be met. (We will provide training)

We are opening Fall 2026 as Florence, Oregon's first public charter school. We are a Classical Education School that is tuition free and open to all students. We will open K-3 and will add grades until we are a complete K-8 school.

Florence is right in the middle of the Oregon Coast, 1.5 hours from Eugene, Oregon which is home to a wonderful airport, shopping, a major hospital, the arts and the University of Oregon. Florence is known for its natural beauty including lakes, rivers and the Pacific Ocean and is a great place for hiking, kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing, and more. We have a significant retirement and veteran community and we are a major tourism town with great restaurants and talented artists.
