Opportunity:
Looking for a highly motivated, growth minded individual to join our fiduciary, fee-only, team centered RIA firm, taking over an existing small book of business in the Moscow, ID, area with the marketing resources provided to build your own customer base through supported prospecting
Work as part of a triangle team with a lead advisor and administrative support to begin solving problems for clients from the start
The ideal candidate would be CFP certified and demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to operate well independently.
Develop stronger skills in every aspect of the Financial Planning profession through senior advisor mentorship
Opportunity for rapid advancement to lead advisor with ideal candidate desiring eventual promotion to senior advisor focused on financial planning and mentorship of future associate planners
Remote work possible as long as five business days a month can be worked on location in Moscow, Idaho
A passive approach to investing is preferred, but not necessary.
Career Path:
Dependent on previous job experience
Associate Advisor Level 1 (0-2 years experience) – Learn financial planning the Axiom Way under a Lead Advisor. Schedule new clients for team based meetings. Series 65 required.
Associate Advisor Level 2 (1-5 years of experience) – Assume leadership of client facing meetings and build client volume and AUM. Working towards CFP.
Lead Advisor (3+ years experience) – Begin mentoring an associate advisor and leading your own team. CFP required.

Client Planning & Support
Assist Advisors in understanding and supporting their clients’ financial goals
Develop and implement customized financial plans, including retirement planning, estate planning, tax strategies, investment strategies, and budgeting
Prepare investment reviews and personalized meeting materials for advisors and their clients
Use planning software (e.g., MoneyGuidePro, Nitrogen, Morningstar Advisor Workstation, Holistiplan and many others) to create and maintain financial scenarios and reports
Ensure all financial plans remain current and responsive to client needs
Research, teach, and analyze financial planning topics as needed
Portfolio Management Support
Help design, implement, and maintain model portfolios across all client accounts
Assign appropriate investment models to client portfolios and document changes with detailed notes
Monitor client portfolios regularly and alert Lead Advisors to any deviations from model targets or significant performance issues
Work with Lead Advisors and clients on non-qualified account management for tax loss/gain harvesting
Assist with rebalancing activities, including data entry, documentation, and communication with operations staff
Coordinate with custodians or trading platforms to ensure accuracy in portfolio implementation
Maintain awareness of market trends and their potential impact on model portfolios
Support investment committee work by gathering data, running reports, and participating in discussions as requested
Operational & Compliance Tasks
Enter and track tasks in Redtail CRM; maintain accurate and timely follow-ups
Complete Smart RIA compliance tasks within 30 days of assignment.
Assign and manage workflows and service tasks related to compliance and client service
Report any written client complaints promptly and appropriately
Team & Culture Engagement
Actively participate in team meetings—be professional, punctual, and prepared
Delegate tasks to support staff as needed and follow through on assigned responsibilities
Maintain conduct that reflects the firm’s core values – courage, curiosity, truth, and wisdom.

Timely completion of investment reviews and service tasks
Accuracy and preparedness of meeting deliverables
Ongoing contribution to firm growth and client retention
Two years financial advising experience preferred
- Series 65 or 66 license OR soon to obtain within 3 months

Axiom is small and nimble with 4 employees. We provide planning services (utilizing MoneyGuide Pro and Nitrogen software) and asset management through LPL Financial.

Beginning compensation dependent on experience and negotiable for more qualified candidates.
Compensation structure initially salary based with limitless potential as you grow your AUM with bonuses for performance and revenue generation.
