Job Summary

We're looking for someone with 1-15 years of experience as a Veterinarian to join our practice in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will have strong surgical skills and experience with diagnostic imaging. You will provide compassionate care to animals while effectively communicating with pet owners about treatment plans and options.

Responsibilities

Perform routine and complex surgical procedures on various animal species
Diagnose animal health issues using advanced imaging techniques and develop appropriate treatment plans
Communicate clearly with pet owners about their animals' health status and care requirements

Qualifications

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution
Current state veterinary license or ability to obtain one in Texas
Willingness to work flexible hours including some weekends

Generation Pet Veterinary Clinic is a thriving, independently owned small animal veterinary clinic, and we have an open positions for associate veterinarians, including full time associates, part time associates, and relief vet shift work. We have a beautiful modern facility with IDEXX in- house lab equipment, digital radiology, ultrasound, Stem Cell and PRP equipment, laser, Pulse wave, Phovia, and digital dental radiography. There are four exam rooms, two with lift tables and separate canine and feline boarding. We have a twin table surgical suite, with dedicated HVAC. Dr. McCann has a special interest in oncology and performs certain chemotherapy treatments. She is also an accomplished surgeon, with decades of experience performing numerous surgical procedures.

The Generation Park area has much to offer. The immediate area has miles of Greenbelt trails for walking, running and biking. Lake Houston is a stone’s throw away for fishing and recreation. Houston Intercontinental Airport is 20 minutes away. There are good public schools and a mix of housing – from starter homes to large, upscale properties. It is a short drive into the city for World-class events if you are interested in sports, museums, performing arts, concerts, etc. The Houston area is a foodie paradise with just about any type of cuisine. The Gulf Coast and Galveston are also just an hour away.

We have competitive compensation, which can be tailored to your specific needs, with exceptional earning potential. Our last full time associate made $214K, working a moderate 40 hour schedule.
