Opposition ResearcherRestoration of America

Conducting research into targeted individuals, organizations, businesses, and others using public records, social media, news reports, and additional sources to create and support news and research narratives benefitting the goals and priorities of Restoration of America. The researcher will also suggest and conduct research responding to news reports. Additionally, the researcher is encouraged to offer their thoughts and opinions on the functioning of the opposition research operation to encourage optimal performance and best practices.

• Monitor news and media reports for relevance to oppo targets or opportunities for an organizational response
• Conduct research dives into social media, including Facebook, X (Twitter), Instagram, LinkedIn
• Navigate and analyze various public records including real estate, court, business, campaign finance, and voter records
• Write research materials, including books and issue backgrounders
• Verify outgoing advertising content
• Suggest articles for news team to investigate and write
• Write articles for our news site based on your research

• Creative thinking with an emphasis on creating and supporting narratives with research
• Qualitative research analysis
• Confidence reading statistics and making logical inferences (e.g. polling, jobs reports). Quantitative/statistical analysis and modeling not required
• Ability to navigate and understand public records including but not limited to real estate, court, and tax records
• Social media navigation
• Experience with Lexis Nexis
• Experience with PACER
• Experience with RNC-style bulleting
• Coding not required but considered a plus
