Job Summary
We are seeking an Email Deliverability Specialist to join our team and maintain the precision, performance, and deliverability of our email operations.
In this role, you’ll monitor and optimize segment uploads, run SQL queries for audience targeting and reporting, and ensure inbox placement by leveraging best practices and authentication protocols like SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and BIMI.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of email deliverability infrastructure, inbox placement tools, and the technical side of email marketing. Additionally, a strong grasp of HTML/CSS for email design is essential to support campaign success.
Responsibilities
- Segment Management: Oversee and validate data uploads for audience segmentation, ensuring clean data and reliable targeting.
- SQL Query Execution: Write and maintain SQL queries to extract data for segmentation, deliverability analysis, and performance reporting.
- Inbox Placement Optimization: Monitor sender reputation and inbox placement using tools such as Google Postmaster Tools, SNDS, and other deliverability dashboards. Resolve blacklists, ISP blocks, and throttling issues.
- Email Authentication and Compliance: Maintain and optimize SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records to enhance sender credibility and implement BIMI for visual branding. Ensure compliance with CAN-SPAM and state privacy regulations.
- Deliverability Analysis: Track and report key deliverability metrics such as bounce rates, open rates, and complaint rates. Identify and resolve deliverability challenges to maintain high inbox placement.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in email deliverability, email marketing operations, or a similar role.
- Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and segmentation.
- Strong understanding of SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and email authentication best practices.
- Hands-on experience using tools like Google Postmaster Tools, SNDS, Talos, or similar.
- Ability to write and troubleshoot HTML/CSS for responsive email design.
- Familiarity with list hygiene practices, block mitigation, and blacklisting recovery.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret deliverability metrics and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
