We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Mohs Surgery Nurse/Medical Assistant to join our skilled surgical team in a thriving dermatology practice. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting our Mohs surgery procedures and enhancing patient care within our clinic.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the surgeon in the operating room during Mohs surgeries, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
- Support physician assistants in the clinic with biopsies and other dermatological procedures.
- Room and prep patients, ensuring they are comfortable and informed before their appointments.
- Accurately scribe in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system during patient visits and procedures.
- Engage in wound care post-procedurally, providing education and support to patients as needed.
- Assist with cosmetic procedures, if interested, contributing to our comprehensive care approach.
Qualifications:
- Formal nursing education is welcome but not necessary; we value hands-on experience and a willingness to learn.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate demeanor to enhance patient interactions.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced surgical team.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring high-quality patient care.
- Basic knowledge of EHR systems is a plus but can be learned on the job.
