Job Objective:&nbsp;The Senior Buyer is directly responsible for executing the daily purchasing processes. The incumbent has the responsibility of maintaining a principal resource list and executing sound purchasing procedures. Responsibilities: <ul><li>Maintains a current Principal Supplier List that includes the specific resource, approved vendors that supply that resource, key contacts and comments that may influence a purchasing decision.</li><li>Maintains and regularly updates status of pending purchase orders so timelines are clearly understood.</li><li>Keeps Operations and Sales aware of issues that significantly impact a pending purchase order or of any issue that impacts a principal resource.</li></ul>&nbsp;Tasks:<ul><li>Tracks all pending Purchase Orders to assure all orders are on schedule and to update pending orders.</li><li>Reviews invoice/purchase order discrepancies to ensure that credits are taken as needed.</li><li>Attaches order confirmation in P21 document links to every purchase order generated.</li><li>Communicates with supplier to document confirmation via email or verbal of order and notes this on purchase order, if necessary.</li><li>Communicates with vendors to assure the terms of the Purchase Order have been accepted and the orders are being filled as anticipated.</li><li>Ensures that any communication issues with vendors are resolved.</li><li>Executes purchase orders within open to buy guidelines.</li><li>Regularly reviews vendor costs and maintains cost information within the system. Goal of 100% accuracy.</li><li>Regularly seeks ways to improve terms and/or discount opportunities within existing resource list.</li><li>Executes RMA requests with suppliers to return material.</li><li>Maintains stock profile of each location as set by President and Director of Warehouse Operations Manager.
