Job Summary
We're looking for a team leader with at least 5+ years of management experience to oversee our 650-acre sod farm. The ideal candidate will manage equipment, processes, and employees, ensuring efficient sod production. This role involves both office work and hands-on management, with a focus on extreme ownership and a love of learning.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of farm operations, including equipment maintenance, sod production, harvesting, delivery, and installation
- Manage a team of 30 employees, including truck drivers and installation crew
- Ensure the efficient operation of all trucks and equipment
- Willingness to jump in on hands-on work when necessary
- Take ownership of farm operations while delegating tasks effectively
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in management, preferably in a farm or related industry
- Strong leadership skills and a willingness to take ownership of tasks
- Ability to learn new technologies and adapt to changing circumstances
- Honesty, dependability, and self-motivation
- Able to handle high-stress situations
