Managing EditorThe Flyover

We're looking for a Managing Editor who can help source, vet, and write informative content for our newsletter, assist with management, product development, and marketing, with a focus on content strategy and source selection. You will also provide analysis and ideas for improvement, and grow into a larger role as the business develops.

• Write all headlines and copy for the newsletter, with the possibility of managing and editing additional writers in the future
• Help choose stories to write about and sources to reference
• Assist with the newsletter's content and layout, including story selection strategy and A/B testing in-article elements
• Willing to work outside job description, such as cleaning up web code or refining email marketing

• Direct experience writing news stories
• Flexibility to jump in outside of business hours and on weekends, and handle challenges every day
• A positive attitude and the ability to find solutions instead of seeing problems
• Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to work with clients who are less technically savvy
• General proficiency with technology and a willingness to learn new skills
