Science and/or Math TeacherBoise Classical Academy

We're looking for someone with strong communication skills to join our team as a Science and/or Math Teacher. In this role, you'll teach one or two classes of science or math, such as Biology, Physics, Algebra I, or PreCalc. Our school looks to include lecure, discussion, and creative activity in every class period. Teachers will help students engage with the Great Conversation as part of the classical tradition. We also share a faith-based foundation as a worldview.

• Attend class, held M/W/F during a one hour block
• Attend weekly meetings on Monday during lunch period, some teacher inservice days, and attend parent/teacher conferences
• Create and deliver engaging lesson plans on science and/or math topics
• One hour prep/grading time outside of class, per class
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
• Work closely with students to help them understand and succeed in the subject matter

• Teaching certificate NOT required. Teacher training provided.
• BA in Science, Math, or related field and/or personal study prefered.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in an understandable way
• A passion for teaching and a desire to help students succeed
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual students

Boise Classical Academy is private high school focused on a Classical Christian Education. Classroom sizes are small, the tuition affordable, and the students motivated and interested in learning. We’ve been in operation 11 years. The instructors either have a BA or Master’s in their field, or their personal studies stand out as expert or are published in their subject.
