<h1>Job Title: QA and Change Manager</h1>Reports to: VP IT<h2>Overview</h2>The QA and Change Manager is a multifaceted role responsible for overseeing quality assurance processes and change management practices within the IT department. This position provides opportunities for spiritual, personal, and professional development.Responsibilities<ul><li>Promote the mission and standards of Answers in Genesis.</li><li>Create a SERVE culture environment in all work done.</li><li>Approach all tasks with a second mile mindset.</li><li>Prioritize personal integrity in all interactions and assignments.</li></ul><h2>Quality Assurance Management</h2>Develop and implement QA strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure the quality and reliability of IT systems, applications, and services.Establish QA standards, methodologies, and best practices to guide testing activities across the software development lifecycle (SDLC).Define test plans, test cases, and test scripts for functional, regression, performance, and security testing.Manage the activities of performance, stress and regression testing, as well as bench testing for hardware implementations.<h2>Testing and Evaluation</h2>Coordinate and oversee testing efforts, including manual and automated testing activities, to validate system functionality, performance, and security.Conduct thorough reviews of software requirements, designs, and code to identify defects, discrepancies, and potential risks.Collaborate with development teams to prioritize and resolve defects and ensure that software releases meet quality standards and user requirements.<h2>Change Management</h2>Ensure user testing is completed and signed off before progression from development to production.Establish processes for large and small changes, where small changes are accommodated and conducted though pre-approved processes.Conduct readiness review through committee participation that includes technicians and end users.Develop and implement change management processes and controls to govern the introduction of changes into IT environments while minimizing disruption and risk.Review and assess proposed changes, evaluating their impact on IT systems, infrastructure, and operations.Coordinate change approval, scheduling, and communication activities to ensure that changes are implemented efficiently and effectively.<h2>Compliance and Auditing</h2>Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices related to quality assurance and change management (e.g., ISO 9001, ITIL, GDPR).<h2>Continuous Improvement</h2>Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and efficiency gains within the QA and change management functions.Implement corrective and preventive actions to address root causes of quality issues and change-related incidents.Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the IT organization.<h2>Qualifications</h2>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.Proven experience (3+ years) in quality assurance, change management, or a related field within IT.Strong understanding of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and quality assurance principles.Experience with testing tools and technologies (e.g., Selenium, JMeter) and change management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, JIRA).Familiarity with ITIL practices and frameworks, particularly in the areas of change management and release management.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Strong communication and collaboration skills.Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB, ITIL) are a plus.Completion of on-line application is required.&nbsp;
