Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
· Drives truck to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle in difficult situations, such as narrow passageways
· Inspects truck for defects before and after trips and submits report indicating truck condition
· Maintains driver log according to Interstate Commerce Commission regulations
· Maintains a current and valid driver license at all times
· Abides by all state and federal driving regulations at all times
· Maneuvers crank in order to drop and/or raise trailer when moving cab from trailer
· Uses forklift to load and unload trailer
· Travel up to 90% of time may be required
· All other duties assigned by management
Qualifications:
· Possess a current Texas Class A CDL for 5 years and have a good driver record for past 3 years
· Be a responsible and dependable individual
· Be able to follow instructions with minimum amount of supervision
· Must be able to work alone and work flexible hours, including overtime and some weekends
Physical Requirements:
· Must be able to sit for long periods of time daily (67-100%)
· Must be able to obtain parts and supplies 10-50 feet away (0-5%)
· Must be able to walk, climb, reach, stoop, bend, kneel, squat and twist waist frequently (34-66%)
· Must be able to rotate wrists and shoulders frequently (67-100%)
· Must be able to use hands for repetitive grasping, pushing, pulling and manipulation (34-66%)
· Must be able to use foot for repetitive movement as in operating foot controls (67-100%)
· Must be able to lift 40 pounds (0-33%) and 75 pounds assisted (team manual lift or with hoist) lift occasionally (0-33%) from one (1) to four (4 ) feet levels
· Must be able to carry 40 pounds occasionally (0-33%) from 10 to 60 feet distances
· Must be able to operate a forklift (33-66%)
· Must be able to push and pull a pallet jack weighing from 200 to 2000 pounds and up to 4000 pounds with team manual assistance (0-33%) on occasion
