About Us

A program of Christian Care Ministry, Medi-Share is a healthcare sharing ministry where members share each other’s eligible medical bills. Its pillars are:

  • GOD-HONORING healthcare
  • AFFORDABLE choice
  • ACCEPTABLE under the law

In 1993, a formalized approach to sharing healthcare burdens began with the Medi-Share program. From small beginnings, this big idea took root. More than 25 years later, the Medi-Share program serves around 400,000 members, and more than $2.5 billion dollars in medical bills have been shared and discounted. Christian Care Ministry also offers a free online prayer community to equip believers to connect, encourage, and pray for one another.

OUR WORK ENVIRONMENT / CULTURE

If you're reading this far, we're grateful! Have you ever wanted to work in an environment alongside of like-minded people of faith? Are you tired of secular workforce where Christians are increasingly getting muzzled? Or maybe you're just looking to utilize your skills doing something that has a bit more tangible purpose and meaning. Come be a part of a Christian organization that has modeled their healthcare sharing program after the example that we see in the book of Acts, chapter 2, where the believers in the early church "had all things in common" and were "sharing as anyone had need". It's not socialism though. Jesus never forbade Christians from owning private property or possessions. It was the voluntary nature of the sharing, based on one's personal convictions, that made such a big impact in the early church, and still does impact the church today.

So what does it look like to work alongside of like-minded people day in and day out? It really provides quite the opportunity to sharpen each outher as Proverbs 27:17 talks about. We have a weekly chapel service where there is a time of praise and worship, and then typically a staff member or a local pastor will preach a message. Every week! There are also department Bible studies and prayer groups that happen on a regular basis. We have several full time chaplains on staff, whose primary role is the spiritual well-being of our employee population. So they offer one on one sessions, structured Bible studies that are both topical and exegetical, and so much more. We have a Missions/Volunteer PTO program, where each employee is PAID to go out and volunteer in their local community for up to 3 days every year! (You can volunteer more than 3 days per year certainly, but we're just paying you for 3).

Now to clarify, it's not all just Bible study and chapel, we do have work to be done and people's need to be met! Alot of times, the stereotype with non-profits can be that they never have any money, they are 15 years behind in technology, etc. etc. But we've been around for 30 years now, and the Lord has blessed us tremendously to be able to say that we are on firm financial footing, and we are using some pretty cutting edge technology, as you will easily see if you read some of our job descriptions. We believe the sky is still the limit in terms of growth, as the majority of Christians in the US are still not familiar with healthcare sharing ministries.

We'd love for you to throw your name in the hat as a candidate, so that you can learn more about our organization and how you might fit! It's more than just a career, it's a calling.
