Job Summary

We are a fast-scaling company looking for an operationally exceptional leader to serve as the backbone of our business. This is a rare opportunity to step into a high-ownership role where you will build and run the full suite of company operations — from finance and HR to contracts, procurement, and facilities — while working as a true co-pilot to the CEO.

This role is designed to evolve. As the company grows, so will you. What begins as a hands-on, build-it-yourself function will develop into a leadership platform — with the potential to grow into as the organization matures and individual functions are carved out under dedicated leaders.

Responsibilities

What You'll Own

  • Finance & Reporting — day-to-day financial operations, business reporting, KPI dashboards, and financial analysis to support executive decision-making

  • Procurement & Vendor Management — purchasing, supplier relationships, agency and subcontractor oversight, and contract negotiation

  • Human Resources — benefits administration, compensation, employee services, and HR compliance; partnering with leadership on people strategy

  • Legal & Contracts — serve as the primary internal liaison for legal matters; manage contract workflows and ensure compliance

  • Facilities — office and operational site management, coordinating logistics and service providers

  • Ad Hoc Project Management — a significant part of this role involves owning one-off initiatives that don't yet have a home: scoping them, driving them to completion, and then building them into repeatable, scalable operational processes. This is not classic project management — it is the work of turning chaos into infrastructure

  • Team Leadership — initially operating lean (and often solo), then hiring and developing a team as the company scales, eventually leading a multi-function operations group

Qualifications

Who You Are

  • Proven operational generalist who has run or had deep exposure to a similar broad-scope function — you understand the theory and have done the work

  • Finance-fluent: comfortable owning the numbers, building reports, and translating data into decisions

  • Equally strong as an individual contributor and a manager — you roll up your sleeves without hesitation, and you know how to lead a team

  • Natural connector: people across the organization trust you, and you build alignment without friction

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and change — in a fast-growing company, today's answer may not be tomorrow's, and you adapt

  • Builder mindset: you see a gap or a one-off problem and instinctively think about how to solve it once and make it stick — turning projects into processes is your default mode

  • Proactive communicator and strategic thought partner to senior leadership

Note: Our company is currently implementing the Entrepreneurial Operating System® (EOS); prior experience working in an EOS-run organization is a plus, but not required for candidates who are willing to learn and grow with us through the process.

What Success Looks Like

In the first 90 days, you have a clear picture of the business operations landscape, key gaps are identified, and quick wins are underway. Within 6–12 months, core processes are running reliably, reporting is clean, one-off projects are being converted into durable processes, and the CEO has a trusted operational partner. Over time, you have built a team, established scalable systems, and evolved the function to match the company's growing complexity.
