Job Description

Are you a top-performing sales professional with a passion for high-ticket items? Do you excel in delivering exceptional customer service and creating value beyond features? If so, we want you to join our team as a Luxury Optical Sales Associate.

As an Optician at Destination Eyecare, you will help patients select eyewear that fits their prescription, lifestyle, face shape, and personal style. You will also explain lens options clearly and confidently so patients understand the value of better eyewear.

Responsibilities include:

 Assisting patients with frame selection and styling

 Recommending lens designs, materials, coatings, sunglasses, computer glasses, and backup eyewear

 Taking accurate optical measurements

 Reviewing prescriptions and helping patients understand their eyewear options

 Adjusting, fitting, and troubleshooting glasses

 Ordering lenses and frames accurately

 Verifying completed eyewear before dispensing

 Providing excellent handoffs and patient follow-up

 Supporting a smooth optical flow from exam room to checkout

 Helping maintain frame boards, displays, and boutique presentation

 Working as part of a team that values quality, service, and professionalism

The ideal candidate has optical experience and is comfortable working with patients in a consultative sales environment.

Strong candidates will have:

Previous optician or optical sales experience

 Confidence explaining lens options and eyewear recommendations

 Strong communication and customer service skills

 A polished, professional, and friendly presence

 Attention to detail with measurements, orders, and follow-through

 Ability to help patients make decisions without being pushy

 A team-first attitude and willingness to stay productive

 Interest in premium eyewear, independent frame lines, and high-quality lens technology

Experience with frame adjustments, lens measurements, progressive lenses, insurance/vision plans, or optical ordering is strongly preferred.
