Legislative DirectorInnovation Council Action Inc.
We're looking for someone with 5-10 years of experience as a legislative professional with strong research and policy analysis capabilities. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience drafting bills and conducting legislative research to support policy development. This role requires excellent critical thinking abilities and strong communication skills to effectively convey complex legislative concepts to various stakeholders.
Build and maintain relationships with elected officials, candidates, and legislative staff who align with pro-AI policies.
Track and analyze legislation related to AI regulation, energy infrastructure, trade, workforce development, manufacturing, tax policies, and digital infrastructure.
Develop lobbying strategies to advocate for sensible regulations, global market access, AI exports, and competition policies that foster innovation.
Coordinate grassroots efforts to mobilize support for AI leadership initiatives.
Lead the legislative team, including the deputy legislative director, to execute advocacy campaigns.
Prepare testimony, briefs, and position papers demonstrating AI's benefits across sectors.
Ensure all activities comply with nonpartisan guidelines and focus on issue alignment.
Bachelor's degree in political science, law, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
7+ years of experience in legislative affairs, government relations, or advocacy.
Deep knowledge of the legislative process and AI policy landscape.
Proven track record in building coalitions and influencing policy outcomes.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
