One of the biggest temptations with work is to view it as a necessary evil. As something you do only to make enough money so you can STOP doing it.

Crazy thought: God made people to work and it's good for our souls.

The reality is that dignity and purpose comes from attempting and accomplishing hard things. This is why there's no dignity in a college soccer team beating a kindergarten soccer team. There was no challenge, so there was no dignity.

Work is exactly the same way. If you do hard things and accomplish them, you get more dignity, pride, and excitement than if you just sat at home all day.
