Things You CAN'T Ask in an Interview
Things you CAN'T do in an interview:
Ask candidates about their political or religious views.
Things you CAN do in an interview: Ask candidates open-ended questions on how they view authority, responsibility, and leadership.
Ask candidates open-ended questions on how they view authority, responsibility, and leadership.
Ask them questions like:
- “Talk to me about how you view authority.”
- “What do you think about your last two bosses?”
- “Describe a time you had to stand up for something you believed in.”
If someone hates all millionaires and bosses, chances are they won't work very hard to help you, as their boss, build a million dollar business.
These types of questions will get you past the resume and rehearsed answers and help you get to know the real person you're interviewing.
Get past the rehearsed answers.
Ask the questions that reveal who a candidate really is.
