Description
Essential Functions
Reviews customer PO’s and specifications; validating specifications against sales quote(s).
Enters sales order data/information into ERP system
Specifies appropriate materials needed for project(s) and communicates those needs via bills of material (BOM) to supply chain and manufacturing departments
Performs ASME pressure vessel calculations necessary, creating the design for the pressure vessel based on the spec review and these calculations
Responsible for specifying the appropriate weld procedures (WPS/PQR) for the project
Manages the design process through to completion including reviewing drawings, both 2-D and 3-D for correctness and accuracy
Communicates directly with the customer throughout the process from design to product shipment, including any scheduling changes that may impact delivery
Adheres to all company health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of self, staff. and visitors.
Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned
Qualifications
Undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering
High-Pressure (1,000 PSI minimum) Pressure Vessel design experience with ASME Section VIII Div 1 preferred
Reciprocating Pump or compressor experience a plus
Boiler Design (not maintenance) using ASME VIII, Div. 1 experience a plus
Working knowledge of AutoCAD software
High school diploma or equivalent required
Ability to read, write and speak in the English language
