Job Description

Self-motivated, team player to work with 6 FT paralegal/legal assistants in a fast-paced social security disability practice. Work directly with 3 attorneys to prepare for disability hearings; close contact with clients to update files and request medical records; submit evidence electronically; file; maintain contact with the Social Security Administration staff; and general clerical duties. Multi-tasking involved while assisting the receptionist during high call volume periods.

Qualifications

Must be reliable as to time and attendance, be a self-starter and a quick learner.

Prior law firm experience a plus.

Spanish speaker preferred.

BA/BS preferred. Compensation based upon experience.

COVID-19 considerations:
We are doing social security disability and veterans phone hearings and only one assistant is meeting new clients, who want to come in with a mask, in the conference room away from the rest of the staff. Most of our business is conducted by phone/mail.
