Position Overview
The Digital Paid Marketing Manager is responsible for leading all paid advertising efforts across platforms such as Google Ads, Bing Ads, Programmatic Media, and Local Ads. The primary objectives are to drive qualified traffic, generate leads, and contribute to revenue growth. This role requires both hands-on campaign management and strategic oversight, including planning, optimization, and performance analysis. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, experience with Performance Max campaigns, bid strategy management, and data-driven optimizations. Additionally, a deep understanding of local lead generation through Google Local Services Ads (LSAs) and location-based targeting is essential.
This is a contractor position, with assignments provided based on contracts secured through the agency team. The role involves executing campaigns and developing growth strategies while collaborating with cross-functional teams such as marketing, sales, web, and creative to deliver measurable business impact.
Paid Media Strategy & Execution
Develop, execute, and oversee campaigns across Google Ads (Search, Display, Video, Performance Max), Microsoft Ads, programmatic platforms, and Local Services Ads (LSAs).
Plan and implement location-based advertising strategies, including radius targeting, geo-fencing, and leveraging local audience segments to maximize reach and conversions.
Optimize Google Business Profiles, Local Campaigns, and call-based lead generation ads to increase engagement for multi-location or local service businesses.
Manage all aspects of paid media accounts, including campaign creation, budget allocation, ad copy, targeting, and creative direction, ensuring consistent performance and brand alignment.
Utilize automated bidding strategies such as Target CPA, Target ROAS, and Maximize Conversions to efficiently scale performance.
Optimization & Testing
Conduct regular account audits and ongoing optimization to enhance click-through rates, conversion rates, and return on ad spending (ROAS).
Leverage tools like Google Tag Manager, GA4, and conversion tracking pixels to maintain accurate attribution and data integrity.
Apply A/B testing, audience segmentation, and creative testing to improve ad relevance and landing page performance.
Drive improvements by analyzing insights from Performance Max data, audience signals, and asset group performance.
Analytics, Tracking & Reporting
Build and maintain data dashboards and reporting frameworks using platforms such as Looker Studio, Excel, or Tableau to monitor campaign KPIs, including CTR, CPC, CPA, ROAS, and lead volume.
Translate performance data into actionable recommendations to inform budget allocation, creative direction, and strategic priorities.
Ensure proper functioning of conversion tracking, call tracking, and offline lead integration across all campaigns.
Present campaign performance and insights to internal stakeholders or clients on a recurring basis.
Collaboration & Leadership
Collaborate with SEO, creative, and web teams to align landing pages, messaging, and tracking strategies.
Work closely with sales and operations teams to maintain lead quality from local ad campaigns in line with business goals.
Manage vendor and agency relationships as needed, ensuring that execution meets KPIs and performance benchmarks.
Stay updated on Google Ads platform enhancements, Local Ads beta features, and industry trends impacting performance and compliance.
Five to seven years (or more) of experience managing paid search, programmatic, and local campaigns, preferably for multi-location or local service businesses.
Advanced proficiency in Google Ads, Bing Ads, and Performance Max campaign management.
Experience with Local Services Ads (LSAs), Google Business Profiles, and geo-targeted advertising campaigns.
Comprehensive knowledge of Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Tag Manager, and lead tracking tools.
Google Ads Certification (Search, Display, or Measurement) is strongly preferred.
