Construct and install upholstery for restaurant seating, including chairs, booths, and banquettes.
Select and work with fabrics, foams, and other materials that meet commercial durability standards.
Repair or reupholster existing furniture to maintain quality and appearance.
Collaborate with restaurant owners or designers to meet specific aesthetic and functional requirements.
Ensure all work adheres to safety and quality standards.
Proven experience in upholstery, preferably with commercial or restaurant furniture.
Proficiency with tools and techniques for cutting, sewing, and assembling upholstery.
Knowledge of fabrics and materials suitable for high-use settings (e.g., stain-resistant, easy-to-clean options).
Ability to read and interpret design plans or sketches.
Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
Physical ability to lift and maneuver furniture as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with restaurant or hospitality clients.
Portfolio showcasing previous upholstery projects.
Basic woodworking or furniture frame repair skills a plus.
