To craft and steward a biblically faithful, academically strong English curriculum that equips homeschool families to master the mechanics of language—grammar, writing, and spelling—while nurturing clear communication and a biblical worldview.
Outcome
Develop Core Content - Author, edit, and refine homeschool curriculum lessons, teacher guides, student exercises, and assessments in English/grammar/writing/spelling
Ensure Pedagogical Soundness - Design and sequence material that reflects best practices in English language pedagogy, enabling children to build skills progressively and effectively.
Integrate Biblical Worldview - Weave biblical truth into instruction naturally, ensuring the curriculum both teaches language skills and reinforces faith.
Maintain Editorial Excellence - Edit for clarity, accuracy, tone, and consistency across curriculum levels, ensuring the Generations brand voice and standards are upheld.
Collaborate with the Team - Work with curriculum editors, designers, and leadership to ensure timely production and alignment with the broader Generations curriculum vision.
Key Responsibilities
Write and edit student and teacher materials (lessons, examples, practice exercises, answer keys, etc.).
Structure material to progressively build mastery in grammar, spelling, composition, and communication.
Apply deep knowledge of English mechanics and teaching methods to create effective, engaging learning experiences.
Ensure every unit reflects a distinctly biblical worldview and helps families disciple their children through the study of language.
Proofread and fact-check curriculum for correctness and consistency.
Participate in curriculum planning meetings and provide expertise on language instruction.
Meet deadlines and manage multiple projects in coordination with the Generations team.
Qualifications
Strong subject matter expertise in English grammar, writing, and spelling (literature background welcome but not required).
Demonstrated experience in teaching, curriculum writing, or editing educational materials (homeschool or classroom context preferred).
Excellent writing and editing skills with meticulous attention to detail.
In depth familiarity with pedagogy and curriculum design principles for K–12 English instruction.
Ability to clearly integrate a biblical worldview into academic subjects.
Self-motivated, organized, and able to work collaboratively in a remote team environment.
Previous homeschool teaching or curriculum development experience (preferred).
Graduate-level work in English, education, or related field (preferred).
Experience editing or publishing educational materials (preferred).
