Mechanical EngineerTechnovative Applications
We're looking for someone with Mechanical Engineering experience. This position involves developing technical solutions to a wide range of complex problems related to the design, manufacture, integration and test of various mechanical and electro-mechanical systems and sub-systems. Responsibilities will include preparing technical justification analysis reports as well as presentations to a variety of Engineering Review Boards relative to hardware dispositions and proposed technical data package updates.
Developing creative mechanical design solutions for ruggedized high density electronic packages using SolidWorks
Utilizing FEA/ CFD thermal analysis to develop thermal management solutions and select appropriate materials for the program requirements
Utilizing structural design practices to develop mechanical solutions and select appropriate materials for environments that include shock and vibration loads
Validating mechanical and electro-mechanical designs with prototyping and testing
Developing and maintaining engineering drawings
Working effectively in multi-disciplinary teams (engineering, technicians, operations, contract services, customer)
Ability to design and analyze small to large precision mechanical assemblies and structures
Ability to design and analyze passive and active thermal management solutions at both system and component levels
Competence in using engineering first principles to drive and justify designs
Knowledge of materials (metal and non-metal)
Knowledge of machining, sheet metal design, and 3D Printing
Proficiency with SolidWorks CAD solid modeling and analysis tools
