Field Service TechnicianAdapt Laser Systems
We're looking for someone with 1-5 years of experience as a Field Service Technician or on-site Maintenance Technician who is comfortable entering a role with extensive travel (50-70% average). The ideal candidate must be willing to spend up to 70% of their time on the road, including occasional nights and weekends (~10%). This position requires strong technical troubleshooting abilities, a high-level of urgency and ownership, the ability to work well under pressure, and the capacity to work independently at customer sites.
The ideal candidate will be based near Kansas City, MO where our HQ is located. You can expect a flexible hybrid work arrangement which would require presence in office when in-house projects and operations support are required, but the ability to work remotely when fulfilling administrative and customer support obligations. With the right background and location, a remote position may also be considered.
You'll be part of a small team with global reach, performing and documenting maintenance and repair of complex industrial laser cleaning systems, while maintaining excellent customer relationships as part of a tight-knit service organization.
Diagnose and repair complex equipment issues at customer sites, requiring independent problem-solving and technical expertise
Travel to various locations (up to 70% of time) including potential international travel to Canada, Mexico and beyond as required
Document service activities clearly and communicate effectively with customers and internal teams
Perform customer laser safety and operations training, coolant flushes, laser performance checks and troubleshooting visits in varied sites: from automotive manufacturing operations to aerospace clients to active military bases
Ability to pass background checks for accessing sensitive defense/aerospace/military sites
Physical capability to handle precision components and equipment in various work environments
Strong problem-solving background
High sense of urgency and ownership
Electrical/electronics troubleshooting background
Valid driver's license and clean driving record for regular travel to customer locations
Manufacturing maintenance background preferred
