Civil EngineerLaugenour and Meikle
We're looking for someone with 1-7 years of experience as a Civil Engineer with expertise in Autodesk Civil 3D and other design software. You'll be responsible for developing comprehensive civil engineering solutions while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. If you’re a well-rounded engineer looking to step into a dynamic role where you’re trusted, challenged, and supported, we’d love to talk.
As a Civil Engineer at LMCE, you’ll:
Design and draft civil infrastructure plans using Civil 3D / Autodesk Civil 3D, including grading, stormwater, sewer, water, and site layout.
Manage small projects with confidence — including schedules, communication with clients, and internal coordination.
Communicate directly with clients, setting expectations and updating on deliverables.
Collaborate with senior engineers and junior staff while taking initiative on your own assignments.
Pitch in across disciplines — whether it’s preparing exhibits, calculating volumes, assisting with permitting, or field work.
Occasionally assist with or learn from surveying tasks, a core part of developing into a highly effective engineer in our team.
Experience or interest in civil engineering design, drafting, land development, and/or surveying
Confidence to communicate directly with clients via email, phone, or in person
Ownership mindset: proactive, detail-oriented, and unafraid to ask questions
Experience managing deadlines and multiple priorities in a small firm environment
Desire to grow into a middle-tier leader within the firm, bridging the gap between junior staff and ownership

types. If you're looking to escape the siloed nature of big firms and truly grow as a well-rounded
engineer, this is your opportunity.
A varied project portfolio — no pigeonholing here. You’ll touch commercial, residential, industrial, and more.
A supportive and flexible culture — we value work-life balance, whether that’s heading to your kid’s soccer game or biking in the mountains after work.
Real growth opportunity — our last few mid-level team members became key leaders in the company.
