Shift ManagerA Saint Louis Coffee Company

We are a local coffee company and we're looking for someone with 1-3 years of experience as a Shift Manager to oversee daily operations and staff. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in staff supervision. This role requires strong leadership abilities and excellent communication skills to ensure smooth operations and team coordination.

• Supervise staff during assigned shifts, including delegating tasks, monitoring performance, and providing guidance when needed

• Manage inventory levels, place orders when necessary, and ensure proper stock rotation and storage

• Maintains strong management presence and tone in stores during each shift by ensuring 100% customer focus, upholding company legendary drinks standards, demonstrating a positive attitude, and promoting good morale throughout the store and a strong sense of urgency.

• Maintains accurate records and paperwork including daily sales results and cash drawer reconciliation.

• Uses hands on, side-by-side approach to train and develop all store personnel in accordance with our training standards.

• Takes initiative by maintaining a constant observation of daily operations and takes ownership to ensure areas of opportunities are addressed or communicated to the GM and other leaders.

• Demonstrates leadership and integrity by setting examples of superior guest service, continual development of barista skills, and reliable with overall attendance and availability.

• Supports equipment functionality and store aesthetic by responding to facility needs and utilizing internal company resources to remedy problems. Escalates costly or difficult issues to GM.

• Other duties as assigned.

• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make quick decisions in fast-paced environments

• Ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters.

• High level of analytical and problem solving abilities.

• Demonstrated capability to interface and maintain effective relationships with co-workers and customers.

• Detail oriented, logical, and methodological approach to problem solving.

• Flexible, with the ability to work independently and with minimal guidance.

• Strong oral and written communication and presentational skills.

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

• Good skills in the areas of bar work and coffee and tea preparation.

• General computer proficiency with knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
