Live Tool Lathe Operator - 2nd ShiftFaxon Firearms

Job Summary

The Live Tool CNC Lathe Operator is responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of Doosan CNC lathes equipped with live tooling and Fanuc controls to produce precision-machined components. This position plays a critical role in maintaining part quality, machine performance, and overall productivity on the second shift. Candidates must demonstrate a strong understanding of multi-axis turning operations, blueprint reading, tool setups, and in-process inspection techniques. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can work independently, troubleshoot minor issues, and contribute to a team-focused manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC lathes including Y-Axis and Sub-Spindle equipment to manufacture precision parts in a high-mix, low-volume production environment

Interpret blueprints, program CNC machines, and perform necessary adjustments to ensure parts meet quality specifications

Qualifications

Ability to work independently and problem-solve technical issues that arise during production

Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards in a manufacturing environment
