We are seeking a creative, strategic, and data-driven Social Media Coordinator to grow and engage our online community. In this role, you’ll develop and execute social media strategies that build brand awareness, drive traffic, and deepen engagement across all major platforms. Develop and implement social media strategies aligned with the Foundation’s goals
Create, curate, and manage compelling content (text, images, video) across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, and YouTube
Monitor, listen, and respond to users in a timely and engaging manner
Manage a content calendar to ensure consistent messaging and brand voice
Collaborate with internal teams to support campaigns, events, and launches
Analyze performance using analytics tools, prepare reports, and optimize marketing based on data
Stay informed on platform trends, algorithm changes, and best practices
Plan and run paid social media campaigns, including budget management
Be responsive and flexible, with the ability to support real-time content opportunities and last-minute updates, including occasional after-hours or weekend events
Excellent copywriting, communication, and storytelling skills
Ability to interpret data and turn insights into actionable strategies
- Proven experience in social media/digital marketing•1+ years
- Strong knowledge of major platforms and social media management tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, Meltwater, Sprout Social)
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
- Experience with graphic design or video editing tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut)
- Familiarity with SEO, email marketing, and influencer partnerships
- Familiarity with newsrooms, journalism practices, or managing social media for news organizations
