Job Summary

Chesterton Academy of Our Lady of Guadalupe is seeking passionate and dedicated full-time math and science instructors for grades 9-12. The ideal candidate will have a background in mathematics and/or science, a love for teaching, and a commitment to the Catholic intellectual tradition. In this role, the selected candidate may provide instruction in the disciplines of Euclidean Geometry, Algebra I & II, Pre-calculus, Astronomy and/or Physics according to the Chesterton Academy Classical Curriculum. The selected candidate will also act as a role model for students, and work in collaboration with faculty and staff in furthering the mission of the academy.

Responsibilities

Develop and deliver engaging math and science lessons that align with curriculum standards while incorporating classical integration and Socratic methods.
Maintain effective classroom management strategies to create a positive learning environment for all students
Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and collaborate with other faculty members

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Education, Mathematics, Science or related field

Ability to inspire curiosity and critical thinking in students through innovative teaching methods

Willingness to sign our Faith statement and uphold the values of our educational institution
