Deputy DirectorYouth Leadership Foundation
As Deputy Director, in collaboration with the Chief Executive Officer, this role will involve managing the operations of YLF related to communications, human resources, leadership development, and program evaluation/management, as well as supporting the Executive Director with regard to developing, implementing, and executing a board-approved vision, strategy, and budget for FY26-2028.
Collaborate with the Executive Director to implement the organization’s strategic plan for FY2028
Oversee our organizational budget with a focus on PALS and TAP funding
Recruit, train, supervise, and retain PALS and TAP staff
Identify and develop future program leaders, and dismiss program staff if necessary
Lead program planning, recruitment, execution, retention, and alumni engagement
Maintain strong community presence and partnerships with civic organizations, community foundations, chamber of commerce, local governments, and local media
Track and report program impact metrics
Write Quarterly Impact Reports and manage website, social media, and CRM systems such as Bloomerang to increase traffic
Increase organization visibility through marketing and communications
Support the Executive Director in soliciting major gifts
Strong leader with high level of integrity

Youth Leadership Foundation builds character and a brighter future for young leaders in our Nation's Capital. YLF serves 350 students annually with its quality mentoring programs in seven school partners across the city. YLF serves third through twelfth grade students after school, on Saturday, in summer, and through virtual mentorship. No matter the format, our programs feature one-on-one mentoring, formative talks about character, intentional engagement of parents and dedicated time for “community-making” (e.g., meal times, team-building & sports activity, etc.)
Annual salary of $75-90k/yr
