We're looking for a Vice-President of Membership and Advancement to lead innovative strategies to boost membership; secure grants, and sponsorships; and develop new revenue streams. This role involves recruiting schools, cultivating partnerships, and enhancing member value through personal relationships and programs. The VP of Membership will oversee key initiatives, such as the annual Repairing the Ruins conference, student contests, and the Universal Latin Exam, and collaborate with our Communications Team to craft a compelling marketing plan and drive ACCS’s vision forward.
Be a catalyst for conserving the classical Christian tradition, equipping schools with excellence, and shaping the future of education. Your leadership will strengthen our network, inspire members, and drive transformative growth.
- Develop new sources of revenue for ACCS (i.e., sponsorships, grants, advertising, annual fund, business ventures, etc.)
- Cultivate and pursue a prospective schools list and recruit from it. Manage the pipeline actively and convert schools and/or educational institutions into membership or resource package sales (partnerships, sponsorships, etc.)
- Visit larger schools that may qualify for membership to observe, recruit, and provide resources (books, brochures, or postcards describing benefits, accreditation, goals, events, etc.)
- Engage startups to transition as many as possible to full members
- Create strategic partnerships with organizations that allow us to access certain marketplaces
- Whenever possible, increase ACCS member value through personal relationships and programs that will support member’s perceived value.
- Work with the Communications Team to develop a strategic marketing plan to further create a positive perception of ACCS.
- Oversee and improve student contests, the annual Repairing the Ruins conference, the Universal Latin Exam, and partnerships with like-minded services, such as Brotherhood Mutual, FOCUS Group, ACCU, and others
Goals:
- Increase overall revenue from member services, the Repairing the Ruins conference, consulting & partnerships, contributions, and sponsorships
- Advance the core values of the ACCS: Conserving the classical Christian tradition for Christ and his Kingdom while supporting standards of excellence through resources and CADE
- Create a strategic membership growth plan
- Lead strategic networking and relational connections with our members
- Recruit qualified CCE schools into ACCS Membership
General skills:
A deep theoretical understanding of classical Christian education (CCE), as well as a practical understanding of the challenges schools and educators face in the field
Experience as a leader in the world of CCE (as an administrator or lead teacher) to facilitate ethos and credibility
Ability to collaborate with a team and work with colleagues and other departments (e.g., communications, IT, marketing, media production, etc.) to achieve goals
Basic tech proficiency in email, chat, video calls, and office software (i.e., Google Suite, Zoom, Office, CRMs and other databases)
Familiarity with key project management tools
Skills in customer service and sales:
Persuasion: Convincing stakeholders in school communities of the value of a product/service through tailored pitches and storytelling
Relationship Building: Creating long-term connections with clients to foster loyalty and renewed customer satisfaction
Negotiation: Balancing customer needs with company goals to close deals or upsell effectively
Prospecting: Identifying and qualifying leads through research, cold calling, or networking
Data Analysis: Using sales metrics (e.g., conversion rates, pipeline velocity) to optimize strategies, often via tools like HubSpot or Tableau
CRM Expertise: Managing leads, forecasting sales, and tracking progress in platforms like Salesforce or Pipedrive
