Bookkeeper AssociateCorzic Music
We're looking for someone with 2-6 years of experience as a Bookkeeper Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in bookkeeping, accounting, and Microsoft Excel to maintain accurate financial records. The Bookkeeper Associate supports the financial integrity of Corzic Music by accurately recording transactions, reconciling accounts, and maintaining organized, audit-ready records within Odoo. This role ensures that day-to-day financial operations reflect stewardship, attention to detail, and timely execution, supporting leadership in informed decision-making and accountability.
Key Results Areas (KRAs)
1. Transaction Entry & Accuracy (50%)
What success looks like:
- All journal entries, payments received, and expense postings are entered correctly within 1 business day of receipt.
- No transaction errors require backdating or correction during monthly review.
Key Duties:
- Record accounts payable (non-PO bills), receivables, and expense entries in Odoo
- Post Stripe, PayPal, and other processor deposits
- Maintain clean customer and vendor ledger balances
2. Bank and Account Reconciliation (20%)
What success looks like:
- Bank, credit card, and processor accounts reconcile to the penny by the 10th of the following month.
- Discrepancies are flagged proactively for leadership resolution.
Key Duties:
- Reconcile checking, savings, and credit accounts
- Identify duplicate or missing entries
- Track and match deposit batches and transfers
3. Compliance Support & Record Integrity (20%)
What success looks like:
- Financial records are organized, clear, and ready for reporting or audit review at any time.
- Internal controls are upheld with excellence.
Key Duties:
- Maintain up-to-date documentation and supporting files
- Assist with monthly close and preparation of financial reports
- Support year-end audit and tax documentation prep
4. Team Support and Cultural Alignment (10%)
What success looks like:
- Consistently participates in meetings, training, and spiritual and professional growth conversations.
- Demonstrates humility, clarity, and commitment in team interactions.
Key Duties:
- Attend finance or all-staff check-ins
- Provide support on special finance-related projects
- Foster a trustworthy and organized atmosphere in the finance function
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience
- Previous ERP experience (Odoo highly preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and data integrity
- High confidentiality and ethical handling of sensitive data
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Excellent time management skills with ability to meet deadlines
- Problem-solving mindset with analytical approach to financial discrepancies
