Monarch Digital is seeking a Drupal Developer to join our team creating custom web applications for our clients. We are specifically looking for a full-stack developer who is knowledgeable in object-oriented PHP with experience in Drupal 8+. Some front-end tasks will also be included, and you should be comfortable with HTML, SASS/CSS and JavaScript.
You will work closely with other team members and communicate directly with clients to solve problems, explore innovative technologies, and learn from one another. The ideal candidate for this environment is willing to take initiative, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and collaborative. Like most other technology companies, we are in an extremely fast-paced environment and expect our developers to be able to adapt to sudden changes.
- Advise clients on website best-practices, including design, accessibility, and SEO
- Develop object-oriented PHP code using the Drupal Content Management System
- Implement responsive website front-end designs using modern and accessible HTML, CSS, SCSS, and JavaScript
- Diligently track the time you spend on a task
- Write well designed, testable, efficient code using best software development practices

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science (BSCS) or other programming focused major
- Experience in Drupal 8 or higher•3 - 5 years

Each day begins with a brief status meeting to review your tasks and priorities. You will then work to complete assigned tasks using your preferred local development environment (Docker/Lando, etc). All the code that you write will be tracked in a GIT repository and peer reviewed. You will complete backend tasks such as writing a custom Drupal plugin as well as front-end tasks using SASS/CSS and JavaScript.
You may find yourself working on tasks for 3 to 4 different projects in one day or focusing on a single project spanning weeks or even months. Your main goal will be to programmatically solve problems according to the specifications provided by the client.
