Job Summary

August Venture Talent, a startup-focused recruiting firm, is serving as talent advisor to the founder of a well-funded B2B software startup in Boise, Idaho. (Local candidates strongly preferred, will consider relocation assistance. This is not a remote or hybrid role.)


We're seeking a passionate GROWTH MARKETING LEAD to lay the groundwork to turn our innovative meeting intelligence platform into a viral growth machine, driving scalable user acquisition, activation, and retention.


Due to the groundbreaking nature of this product and the competitive dynamics it is expected to generate, we are operating in stealth mode until our anticipated launch in Fall 2025.


Unlike many early-stage startups, we offer a competitive salary, quarterly bonus, healthcare benefits and the strong equity you would expect as the contributor to a project with enormous potential. Current funding allows for at least two years of runway before revenue generation or additional funding is required.

Responsibilities

Design and execute product-led growth strategies that prioritize user self-discovery, onboarding and activation, using the product as the primary driver of user acquisition, retention and upgrade.


Evaluate, buy, and implement the best AI-powered tools and platforms to drive our growth results (e.g. marketing automation, CRM, predictive analytics, customer segmentation, product analytics, A/B testing, content generation). Leverage them to identify high-potential audiences, optimize marketing funnels, and personalize user journeys.


Run data-driven experiments (A/B tests, feature adoption campaigns, etc.) to uncover scalable growth opportunities and refine our go-to-market strategy.


Partner with our CEO in crafting and refining the company’s messaging and narrative in a way that resonates with target audiences and engages users, customers, the press, partners, investors, and strategic players.


Own our content delivery. Take the lead on building out our web site, in the context of a powerful SEO strategy with pages for features, verticals, competitor comparisons, etc. Expand that out to our social media, email, in-product notifications, and community strategy to deliver our messaging.


Build out tactical GTM plays based on data signals (de-anonymized web visitors, look-a-like outbound and social ad campaigns, former bosses of recent job switchers, job posters, etc.); warm outbound campaigns (prospect re-engagement, champion outreach, alumni employees); SEM (user acquisition and competitor harvesting); and product-led upgrade (user activity, aha moments).


Help design in-product user acquisition and engagement workflows to capture demographic, acquisition, activation, engagement, and monetization data necessary to power the growth engine. Help influence and design product features that can result in backlinking, template libraries, or other SEO or community-based growth tools generated by product usage.


Play a strong role in understanding and developing accurate insight from product usage data, and translating that into a set of actions that deepen user acquisition, retention and upgrade.


Leverage product development milestones to stage product launch events (both in-person and virtual).

Qualifications
  • Demonstrated ability to drive measurable and sustained growth in user acquisition, retention, and revenue within a marketing, product marketing, or related role.


  • Effective utilization of AI and machine learning tools (e.g., predictive analytics, generative AI) to enhance marketing performance and decision-making.


  • Effective utilization of product analytics platforms to derive insights, optimize user engagement, and drive growth decisions.


  • Experience with CRM and marketing automation platforms.


  • Experience building web sites, product pages and product narratives.


  • Demonstrate an analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret complex datasets and distill down to signals that inform decisions.


  • Proficient in A/B and/or multivariate testing methodologies, designing and executing experiments that generate actionable insights for growth optimization.


  • Consistently ships high quality work, incorporating input but requiring limited oversight, with infrequent course corrections.


  • Ability to manage projects and estimate timelines with reasonable accuracy, while being aggressive about shrinking cycle times and increasing the intensity of how fast we deliver.


  • Intellectual curiosity surrounding the landscape of marketing technology.
