Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Facility Security Officer and Cybersecurity Specialist to oversee cybersecurity operations and ensure compliance with government security regulations. The ideal candidate will have expertise in information security, risk management, and government security protocols, playing a dual role in protecting both digital and physical assets.
Responsibilities
Cybersecurity:
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures
- Monitor and respond to cyber threats
- Conduct risk assessments, penetration testing, and security audits
- Manage security tools, including firewalls, SIEMs, and endpoint protection
- Ensure compliance with NIST, RMF, and other cybersecurity frameworks
- Provide security awareness training and support incident response planning
- Develop and enforce access controls and identity management standards
Facility Security Officer (FSO):
- Serve as the primary liaison with the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA)
- Maintain compliance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM)
- Manage personnel security clearances (e-QIP, JPAS/DISS)
- Conduct security training and briefings for cleared personnel
- Oversee visitor control, document control, and classified material handling
- Develop and enforce security policies and procedures for classified programs
- Ensure facility security measures meet federal regulations
Qualifications
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to handle complex security challenges
- Excellent communication and documentation skills for effective liaison with government agencies and internal stakeholders
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to evolving security threats and regulations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field
- OR equivalent cybersecurity work experience
- Cybersecurity or facility security experience•5+ years
- CISSP, Security+, CEH, or other security certifications
- Experience with NIST, RMF, and other security frameworks
- Knowledge of NISPOM, DCSA requirements, and FSO duties
- U.S. citizenship
- Ability to obtain DoD security clearance
Nice to Have
- Experience working in a government contracting environment
- Knowledge of Insider Threat Program (ITP) management
- Familiarity with Continuous Monitoring and Industrial Security practices
