Job Summary

The Onsite Day Security Guard at Patmos will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety, security, and operational integrity of our data center. This position involves managing access control, monitoring surveillance systems, conducting regular patrols, and responding to security incidents in a professional and efficient manner. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and proactive in identifying and mitigating potential risks. We are seeking someone who shares our passion for protecting freedom of speech, privacy, and the free flow of information by safeguarding the physical infrastructure that powers these principles.

Responsibilities
  • Engaging and identifying any personnel on premise and de-escalating situations as needed.
  • Enforce access control policies, ensuring only authorized personnel and visitors enter the facility.
  • Monitor and operate security systems, including CCTV, alarms, and access control panels, to detect and respond to suspicious activities.
  • Perform routine patrols of the data center's interior and exterior to ensure physical security and address vulnerabilities.
  • Respond promptly to security alarms or emergencies, escalating issues to law enforcement or emergency services when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed logs of all incidents, patrols, and security-related activities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to enforce safety protocols and assist with emergency drills.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by assisting employees and visitors while maintaining a secure and welcoming environment.
  • Conduct regular inspections of security equipment to ensure proper functionality.
  • Timely and effective response to security incidents and emergencies.
  • Consistently accurate logs and reports of daily activities and incidents.
  • Minimal unauthorized access events due to proactive access control and vigilance.
  • Positive feedback from employees and visitors regarding professionalism and customer service.
  • Maintenance of a safe and secure environment, demonstrated by adherence to company policies and low incident rates.
