We are looking for a candidate to fill the position of Shipping Coordinator at our Los Angeles area based warehouse operation. This person will assist Warehouse Management in organizing and coordinating multiple daily outgoing shipments, as well as tracking and recording incoming shipments of inventory. Some prior experience in fulfillment operations is beneficial. A solid proficiency using Excel spreadsheet software is essential. The job requires good organizational and record keeping skills, attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy while handling multiple shipment logistics. Our company provides retail store chains with their merchandise display fixtures. Our client list is small, but order volume is high. Our warehouse crew of approximately 10 people and warehouse management team of 6 or 7 work in tight coordination to prep, pack and load multiple truckloads of product weekly, along with detailed packing lists and accurate shipping documents for dozens of orders large and small shipping out to stores around the US.
- Perform administrative actions to record and organize documentation for each separate shipment.
- Coordinate with Warehouse Lead on packing schedules and coordinate with customer trucking companies on shipment pickup schedule.
- Prepare shipping documentation functions.
- Maintain accurate outgoing shipment logs.
- Maintain accurate logs of incoming containers of inventory and record transfers of stock between our LA area warehouses.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities simultaneously
